And focus on important things.
I start college on Monday. It’s unusual to think how in a few short days my life will change. How I’ll be a college student, living in the dorms, meeting new classmates, new friends, and new teachers. I’ll miss having a room to myself. I’ll miss burning incense and cooking my own food. And especially, not having work, or classes to stress over. But this is an experience. Something I’ll value when I’m older. This pessimistic part of me weighs like lead but I’m trying to fight it off with some sense of excitement. I’ll be able to take yoga classes at the school’s gym. I’ll be playing violin and taking what I hope are interesting classes. And I’ll be open to new experiences and beginnings as I venture off into this University, with no understanding of what is coming. Yes. That’s an exciting feeling. Monday is on it’s way.
